Money management that actually keeps up.
Benjamin Stacker connects to your bank, categorizes every transaction with AI, and learns your corrections. When it has a question, it messages you on Telegram instead of leaving a pile in your inbox.
Read-only bank access. Your login stays with your bank. No card required during beta.
All of your money, managed, without the backlog.
Automatic bank sync
Connects to thousands of banks and credit unions with read-only access. Syncs run on a schedule so your data is never stale.
AI categorization that learns
It asks when it is unsure and remembers your answer as a durable rule. Every correction makes the next month cheaper and quieter.
Telegram native
The bot messages you directly. Answer a categorization question with one tap, or ask it anything about your money in plain language.
Know where you stand
Two honest numbers, always visible: what you are on track to end the month with, and what is in the bank after your stacks and upcoming bills.
Debt payoff plan
Avalanche ordering with real payoff dates. Adjust the extra payment and watch every date move in response.
Monthly targets and side stacks
No zero-based busywork. Targets track your pace through the month, and side stacks set money aside for the bills that only show up a few times a year: a stack for taxes, a stack for insurance, a stack for Christmas.
Three steps, then it runs itself.
Connect your bank
Link your accounts in a couple of minutes. Access is read-only from the start.
Answer a few questions
Reply to the bot in Telegram while the AI learns your patterns and builds rules from your answers.
Check one number
Before you spend, glance at what the month is on track to end with. That is the whole habit.

Common questions
Can AI do budgeting?
Yes, and the useful part isn't the advice, it's the bookkeeping. An AI connected to your accounts can categorize every transaction, learn from your corrections, notice a charge that doesn't fit, and keep the running total honest without you opening a spreadsheet. What it can't do is decide what matters to you. Benjamin Stacker does the sorting and the arithmetic, then asks you when a payee is genuinely ambiguous.
Can ChatGPT make a budget?
It can draft one, but it can't see your money. ChatGPT will happily produce a sensible-looking budget from numbers you type in, and it forgets them the moment the chat ends. The difference with a connected app is that it reads your actual transactions, so the budget reflects what you really spent rather than what you estimated, and it updates itself as the month goes.
How do you calculate a debt avalanche?
You pay the minimum on every debt, then put every spare dollar against the debt with the highest interest rate, regardless of its balance. When that one clears, its payment rolls into the next-highest rate. Mathematically it's the cheapest way out, because you're always killing the most expensive interest first. Benjamin Stacker runs this against your live balances and APRs and shows the payoff date and total interest, so the plan recalculates itself as you pay things down.
Is the debt snowball or the avalanche better?
Avalanche costs less; snowball feels better. The avalanche targets the highest interest rate and always wins on total interest paid. The snowball targets the smallest balance first, so you clear individual debts sooner, which some people need to stay motivated. Dave Ramsey recommends the snowball for that reason. We default to the avalanche because the difference on a high-rate credit card is real money, and we show the payoff date either way.
Is there a good alternative to YNAB?
Benjamin Stacker is one, with a different premise. YNAB asks you to assign every dollar a job by hand, every month. This assigns them for you: it reads your history, proposes a budget you can edit before accepting, sorts new transactions automatically, and messages you on Telegram only when it needs a decision. If you enjoy the hands-on envelope routine, YNAB is excellent. If the routine is the reason you quit budgeting, this is built for you.
Is this a zero-based budgeting app?
No, deliberately. Zero-based budgeting asks you to allocate every dollar and re-balance envelopes when you overspend, which is where most people fall off. Instead you get a monthly budget per category with no rollover, separate side stacks for multi-month goals like insurance or car repair, and one number at the top: what's safe to spend right now, after money already set aside and bills still due.
Is my bank login shared with you?
No. SimpleFin issues a read-only token for your accounts. We never see your bank username or password.
What AI do you use?
Anthropic Claude. Transaction descriptions and amounts are processed to categorize transactions and answer your questions.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. Billing runs through Stripe once we are out of beta, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period.
Does it work outside the US?
Bank coverage currently includes US and Canadian financial institutions.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can export your data anytime. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days.
